Section 1Academic outcomes disclaimer

VIVA's service is tutoring, not ghost-writing. We explain concepts, decode rubrics, coach argument structure, and review drafts before submission. The final submission must be the student's own work.

The boundaries that follow from this:

  1. VIVA does not guarantee any specific exam grade, degree classification (First / Distinction / Merit), GPA, admission outcome, or graduation certificate;
  2. VIVA does not guarantee that a student will pass a given module, avoid a fail, or earn any form of scholarship;
  3. Academic outcomes depend on many factors outside VIVA's control: the student's time investment, prior academic baseline, the school's marking discretion, module difficulty, assessment schedule;
  4. VIVA's commitment is limited to process-level delivery — running the agreed tutoring hours, giving review feedback, helping with essay structure.

This section is consistent with section 10 (outcome guarantee) of the Tutoring Service Agreement. In the event of any inconsistency on outcomes, the formally signed contract prevails.

Section 2Third-party school / regulator policy changes

VIVA tutors students enrolled in Singapore Private Education Institutions (PEIs) and their awarding universities (UK, Australia, Ireland etc.). The partner-university lists, programme directory, entry requirements and assessment formats shown on the site reflect VIVA's diligence as of the publish date, but:

  • Awarding universities may adjust programme structure, assessment rules, marking standards, AI-use policy, citation rules and entry criteria at any time;
  • PEIs may adjust their partnership relationships with awarding universities, delivery format, tuition, refund policy at any time;
  • The Council for Private Education (CPE) / SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) may adjust PEI registration and supervision rules at any time;
  • The Ministry of Education / Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) may adjust Student's Pass requirements at any time.

For any final decision involving admission, accreditation or visa, please rely on the official source:

Section 3Accuracy and timeliness

VIVA makes reasonable efforts to verify the information published on the site, but does not warrant:

  • That all information is absolutely accurate, complete and free from omission at all times;
  • That partner-university logos, names and partnership relationships remain unchanged when you read the page;
  • That the website is free from typos, broken links, mis-aligned images or other technical defects.

If you spot any error, please email [email protected]; VIVA will verify and update within a reasonable time.

Section 4Translations — English version controls

The VIVA website and all legal documents are available in both Chinese (zh-Hans-SG) and English (en-SG). Both versions are written and cross-checked by the VIVA team.

However, for the sake of legal certainty, the English version prevails for purposes of legal interpretation. If there is any inconsistency between the Chinese and English versions on a particular clause:

  • The English version controls;
  • The Chinese version is provided for reading convenience and does not constitute an independent legal interpretation of the English text;
  • This applies to all legal documents on the site, including the Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, PDPA Notice, Cookie Policy and this Disclaimer.

For non-legal content (such as service descriptions and teaching-method narratives), the Chinese and English versions are treated as equivalents; if they conflict, VIVA's intent (clarifiable on request) prevails.

The Tutoring Service Agreement follows its own language clause (see the contract). This section does not override or replace that clause.

Section 5Not professional advice

All content on the VIVA website (including programme descriptions, teaching-method explanations, blog posts, case studies and videos) is general information only and is not:

  • Legal advice — including but not limited to advice on visas, immigration status, Student's Pass, Employment Pass or contract review;
  • Financial or tax advice — including but not limited to advice on education loans, scholarship tax treatment or cross-border tuition remittance compliance;
  • Immigration advice — please consult an ICA-registered immigration agent or qualified legal counsel;
  • Medical or psychological advice — please consult a Singapore Medical Council registered practitioner or psychologist;
  • Formal academic-accreditation advice — please consult the awarding university's Academic Registrar or Singapore's Ministry of Education.

If your specific situation touches any of the above professional areas, please consult a qualified practitioner. Any decision made on the basis of information on this site is at your own risk.

Section 6Testimonials and third-party comments

Where the website quotes student testimonials, recommendation letters, case studies or third-party press coverage:

  • All student testimonials are published only after we receive that student's express written consent;
  • VIVA may make editorial cuts (removing length, fixing typos, standardising format) but will not change the meaning;
  • Student names may be anonymised (e.g. "Student L") to protect privacy;
  • Specific grades, scores or outcomes shown are not representative of the typical result for all VIVA students (individual results may vary);
  • Third-party press references are factual; VIVA does not endorse the full set of views in any cited article.

Section 7Website availability and technical failure

The website is hosted on third-party infrastructure (such as Cloudflare) and may be temporarily unavailable for:

  • Scheduled maintenance (VIVA will try to schedule outside busy hours and to give advance notice);
  • Third-party provider outage;
  • Internet-backbone failure, DDoS attack, ISP issues;
  • Force majeure (see Terms of Service Section 9).

VIVA is not liable for access interruptions, information loss or service delays caused by the above. For urgent contact, please use the phone or WhatsApp: +65 8686 3695.

Section 8Academic integrity

VIVA's service strictly observes Singapore and partner-university academic integrity rules:

  • We do not offer ghost-writing, proxy exams, contract cheating or any equivalent service;
  • We do not sell essays, assignments or exam answers;
  • We do not encourage students to breach their school's AI-use policy;
  • Where a student uses an AI tool (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot etc.) with VIVA's coaching, the use must be declared honestly in line with the awarding university's policy;
  • Before final submission, VIVA strongly recommends the student submit at least one draft to their school tutor for review.

If a student conceals VIVA's tutoring and thereby breaches the school's academic-integrity policy, the consequences rest with the student. VIVA cooperates reasonably with the school's factual enquiries but does not bear academic penalty or legal liability on the student's behalf.
