VIVA is a small mentor-led company. We help private university students understand the rules behind UK and Australian coursework.
A small team for private university tutoring.
VIVA EDUCATION is led by Joe Zhuang as founder and Director. Joe was born in 1988 and comes from Xiantao, Putian, Fujian. Since he came to Singapore at 17, that places his arrival around 2005, during the era when the SM1 scholarship route was active. He is now a Singapore citizen.
Joe is practical, curious, and focused on innovation. He built New Gen Group and the haircare brand La pure hands-on; in La pure's early stage, he personally formulated products and went to chemical factories for sourcing and sampling. In the current AI wave, his focus is on practical implementation: how AI can help more companies and individuals work better.
Joe also provides scholarship support for talented students from poor backgrounds, helping them complete their studies in Singapore. For suitable graduates, he also supports employment opportunities and EP application support.
VIVA works with a real pattern: students from Chinese-medium backgrounds arrive in Singapore for PEI-delivered UK and Australian degrees, then struggle with rubrics, citations, English argument, and AI-use declarations. Leonard Chow holds a Kaplan-UCD honours degree and is a Kaplan scholarship recipient; Victor Liu holds an NTU TIP MSc; Ruby Zhou holds a Master's in Popular Music Vocal Performance from the University of West London.
Our work is direct: help students finish papers, prepare for exams, and clarify the structure of their thinking. We work bilingually and within the academic integrity rules of the awarding university and the student's school.
To help international undergraduate students in Singapore earn a degree that is deserved, understood, and their own.
We tutor. We do not ghost-write.
We explain concepts, argument structure, rubrics, viva practice, and pre-submission review. Before final submission, students must submit at least one draft to their school tutor for review. Any AI tool use, including Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude, must be declared according to the awarding university's policy.
Better to guide than block.
For schools, companies, and individuals, AI is no longer a problem that can be solved by simply banning it. The practical answer is to teach people how to use it within rules, declare it honestly, review the output, and turn it into usable capability.
Academic use.
We do not train students to use AI for ghost-writing. We train them to understand school policy, use AI for material organization, thinking structure, language checks, and review, then declare it according to the awarding university's rules.
Work and life.
VIVA also trains practical AI use in work and daily life: turning repetitive tasks into workflows, turning information into executable steps, and bringing tools into real operations instead of leaving them as demos.
